Dear Parents of Year 2 Pupils

 

I expect it feels like only a short time ago that your son or daughter started at school.  Indeed, it is only a few weeks since this year’s Year 3 started with us.  However, now is the time you have to start thinking about the move to the juniors!

 

On behalf of all of us at New Milton Junior, I would like to say that we are looking forward to meeting you and working with your children.

 

Throughout this coming year, there will be opportunities for them, and you, to visit the school, meet the teachers and for the teachers to get to know your child.

 

We would like to invite you to an Open Morning on Wednesday, 15^th October, 9.00am -10.00am, for parents of Year 2.  I will be giving a short talk at 9.00am after which there will be an opportunity to be shown around the junior school on a normal working morning by Year 6 pupils.  Please proceed to the front entrance, where you will be given a visitor’s badge.

 

Applications should be made online from the 1^st November 2025 and received by the County Admissions Team at Hampshire County Council by midnight on 15^th January 2026. Any applications received after this time may well mean that your son or daughter will not be allocated a place at this school. Please contact the infant school if you prefer to make a paper application. The notification date for on-time applicants is 16^th April 2026.
