World Book Day
Fri 28 Feb 2025Friday 7th March
On Friday 7th March, we will be
celebrating the wonderful world of the written word!
As parents/carers, things you need to know in advance:
We will dedicate the day to books, and would very much like everyone to dress up as a book character of their choice. We will post pictures of the day on Twitter and the school website to give you a taste of how we are celebrating.
A little request…
If you are in a position to donate an old costume to the school, that would be fantastic. Please drop the WBD costume you are happy to donate to the office on the morning of Friday 28th or Monday 3rd in a bag labelled with:
- the age range it would suit
- the book character costume
I will sort any donations and then they will be available for anyone who might like to take one on Tuesday 4th March between 8:50 - 09:20am from the school hall.
Thank you for your continued support;
it makes a big difference.

Times Tables Rock Stars Day
Fri 28 Feb 2025‘get ready to rock!’
Times Tables Rock Stars Day
Dear Parents / Carers,
We are very excited to announce our ‘Get Ready to Rock!’ maths event which will take place on Wednesday 12th March.
The day will be packed full of maths-themed fun. Children will have an opportunity to explore and learn their times tables in new and exciting ways. They will take on personal and team challenges, play games and apply their knowledge in problem solving situations that stretch their mathematical reasoning.
There will be something for everyone to learn and enjoy, whether the children know their times tables already or if they are just getting started on this journey. There will even be a ‘Beat the Teacher’ challenge for those brave enough to take it on.
Of course, we can’t get ready to rock without the proper rock star outfits. All children are invited to dress as a rock star for the day: just jeans and a t-shirt are fine, but wigs and inflatable guitars will be awesome too.
Thank you for your support with this event.
