Sports Premium

 

In 2015 -16 we were allocated £9425 to support the improvement of PE throughout the school.

This was allocated in the following way:

£2900 - Membership to the New Forest School's Partnership - this has helped us to increase participation in organised competitive and non- competitive events with other schools it also provides staff training on the implementation of 'Real PE'.

£600 - minibus hire to allow more children access to events

£1800 - Y4 swimming

£2000 - Improvement of sports equipment - gym mats and gym equipment, wider range of resources, enough for greater participation, sports kit to raise profile of competitive teams

£480 - Tennis provision as an after school activity

£480 - Dance provision as an after school activity

£480 - Saints football provision as an after school activity

£1000 - support for cost of residential/ activity week in order to increase access and participation

£500 - Sports week - raising aspirations and providing sporting opportunity for all

Impact

The is a wider range of sporting opportunities available for the children and greater numbers participate in either an after school or lunch time sports activity.

The school took part in nearly all local events and increased it's participation in local competitive events.

When comparing Autumn 2016 to Autumn 2015  there was an increase of PE after school clubs and 56 more children attended a PE after school club.

Autumn 2015 - 8 PE Clubs - 143 children

Autumn 2016 - 9 PE Clubs - 199 children
